Field House, Essex
2007 – current. £0.8m

This proposal is for a subterranean home that is wrapped in an ecologically diverse field with panoramic views through and over the surrounding landscape.  Renewable energies are employed to achieve the highest Code Level 6 sustainability rating and the design meets full Lifetime Home requirements.  Internally, the split level arrangement affords deep daylight penetration to the living area and provides views through the clerestory windows of 320 degrees over the surrounding countryside therefore interconnecting the landscape qualities in the experience of each space of the home.

“We love this scheme - thank you. The fact it 'sits' in the landscape at different levels is perfect. The clerestorys around the living area will really bring the outside in. I could go on.........Your design is light years ahead… we feel the whole scheme is truly amazing. We cannot think of anything else like it in Essex.”

Wetherby Place refurbishment
2009 – current. £0.2m

This interiors project evolved out of the combination of two flats to suit the needs for a growing family.  The design involved Party Wall considerations as well as the removal of significant quantities of asbestos.  The client was intimately involved with the design process and the result is a series of large dual aspect living spaces that can accommodate the client’s expanding family and growing collection of Contemporary Art.  The project was successfully delivered on schedule and on budget.

Cheltenham Terrace refurbishment
2010 – current. £0.2m

This project is a bespoke residential refurbishment off of the King’s Road within a typical 1930s apartment building.  The project required a complete re-build of all the internal walls, ceilings, floors and services to ensure acoustic isolation and integration of the services.  The relatively low ceiling heights determined that recessed lighting was not an option and therefore a simple ‘entablature’ light-shelf around the rooms was employed for concealing blinds, speakers, indirect lighting and general services for a simple unfussy vocabulary suitable for the domestic nature of this project.

2006 - 2008. £0.5m

These prestigious high-end residential refurbishments include major structural alterations and the full integration of state-of-the-art audio-visual and new energy efficient services to these listed and conservation area properties.

“The quality of architectural plans has been excellent and he has delivered… with impressive speed and punctuality.  He is attentive and tends to chase the client rather than the usual opposite way.  In particular, his contract administration on the completed refurbishment was very clear, very thorough and very regular…  I am very pleased and appreciate the focus and tenacity.”
