No.1 Savile Row, Gieves & Hawkes, Gentlemen’s Tonic Barbershop
2010. £0.15m
This flagship new concession is set within the iconic store at this famous address.
The project tailors the traditional barbershop typology into a linear vaulted room articulated with the rhythm of calm light diffusing from hardwood and leather bays set within a listed building. The design has allowed an increase to the fee earning capacity of the store by over 30% and increased the net usable floor area by 13%; and all successfully achieved within a timeframe of just 8 weeks from appointment to completion.
FINE architecture is delighted to be currently involved with the new stores in Hong Kong, New Delhi and Abu Dhabi.
